Fit club featuring HIIT training at broadclyst
Our Tuesday night fit club class featuring HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) at Broadclyst begins with a brief warm up session followed by a short burst of high intensity workout switching to an easy to moderate effort for the same amount of time. The high intensity intervals can involve anything from push ups and planks to burpees and squats and are designed to push you as hard as possible. The following low intensity periods allow you time to recover. The pattern repeats until you finish with a cool down period similar to the warm up.
HIIT is widely regarded as one of the most effective ways to make serious changes to your body’s performance and it’s a great way to improve fitness and burn calories quickly. This style of training will raise your resting metabolic rate after your workout meaning that you're likely to continue to burn calories for up to 24 hours after the workout has finished.
All year round
The class is held all year round outside. During the summer months the venue is the sports pavilions playing fields in Broadclyst, while during winter months the class transfers to the floodlit netball courts.
The benefits of exercising outdoors
Exercising outdoors in the fresh air is a great way to lift your mood and make your body work harder. People often find they are less tense and more rejuvenated after an outdoor workout. The outdoor setting helps to keep you interested and motivated which many people find more exciting than running on the treadmill and staring at a wall.
For all abilities
Whether you’re just starting out or you’re a HIIT pro, my fit club class caters to everyone.
